When I first set my eyes on widescreen LCDs, my first thought was how gorgeous and sexy they looked. Compared to the traditional LCD’s with a 4:3 aspect ratio, widescreen LCD’s with their 16:10 aspect ratio seemed more elegant. They stood out for their impressive capability to use the entire width of the screen to view a movie without shrinking the picture. It seemed like they would be the future of monitors and now here we are today, the widescreen LCD quickly becoming the norm of LCD monitors.
