ATI versus nVidia -- DirectX 10 Benchmarking @ Legit-Reviews

Source: Legit-Reviews
_______________
By now, we’ve all been beaten to death with all the DirectX 9 benchmarking on DirectX 10 capable cards because no DirectX 10 benchmark game titles were available to be benchmarked. I've been saying for months that the NVIDIA and ATI battle doesn't mean anything till we see some performance numbers on the DirectX 10. Before the launch of the ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series AMD and ATI seeded the press with benchmark copies of the upcoming DirectX 10 game title Call of Juarez. Finally, we had a benchmark that we could use to run DirectX 10 material and it was from a real game that consumers were able to purchase.

WOW the 8800/2900 get clobbered in this dx10 game!!! I thought one of the advantages of dx10 was better performance??

I feel sorry for anyone who bought a 8600. Looks if you want to play dx10 don't even think of buying anything lower than a 8800\2900.

Lets hope red pulls out the big kid in the lineup.......

A new cardline launch with no flagship? Thats unheard of to be quite honest.

Holy hell - DX10 games run like CRAP. (so far anyway)

The GFX I see do not look impressive at all either. I will definitely wait till Crygenfactorx or whatever comes out and see how that runs before I buy a 600 dollar card that runs DX10 games at 1024 x 768 w/ no AA at 30 FPS. 20+ FPS at 1600x1200 with no AA? That is soo slow, I also thought DX10 was supposed to be FASTER!? Guess not.

Don't forget that the game they tested is hardly a top notch game...

I don't really care about these scores. I'll look at scores when the games are actually finished.
