OCZ Technology ModXStream 780w Power Supply @ OCIA

Source: OCIA
_____________
One of the biggest industry news announcements this year came just a few weeks ago when OCZ Technology announced the acquisition of PC Power & Cooling. PCPC has long been regarded as the top power supply manufacturer in the world, and with OCZ taking over the reins, I expect to see some great things from both companies in the very near future. In a nutshell, OCZ will obtain PCPC's expertise in the power supply market and PCPC will benefit by receiving a much higher market share.

hmmm.... 4x 4pin molex connectors isn't a real concern imo anymore. Considering that even optical drives are going with the SATA power connections. I mean in most systems, that's about all you need is 1 maybe 2 molex... the only reason he had a problem is that the molex to PCI-EX adapters needed multiple 4 pin, frankly this psu looks pretty decent, it's just to bad there wasn't more PCI-EX connects.

I wonder if the 900 watt version has 2 pci-ex 6 pin and 2 pci-ex 8 pin connectors, that would be imo perfect for the time being.

I really hope that this takeover results in OCZ's quality improving and not PCP&C's quality reducing due to OCZ's insistence on obtaining cheap, poor quality components.
I've no idea why OCZ who are so strong in the memory market and have one of the best support teams around are willing to damage their reputation with shoddy PSU's. They need to focus on what they are good at.
