Review: XYZ Computing

The ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) is a relatively new form factor that was originally designed to fill the small niche that was developing between notebooks and smartphones. While the concept was, and still is, an interesting one, the original models never had much success with consumers and it seemed that the release had been rushed. This first round of "Origami" devices got a fair amount of coverage online and is said to have done well with business buyers, but the average consumer, if they have even heard about it, tends to be confused as to how to fit a UMPC into their computing life.
