Source: DigiTimes
___________
AMD plans to launch a new technology, Remote IT (temporary name), with similar functions to iAMT (Intel Active Management Technology) which forms part of Intel's vPro enterprise platform. The new technology and platform from AMD will launch by the end of 2007, according to sources at PC makers.

AMD's new enterprise platform will adopt AMD Phenom processors, the RS780 and SB700 chipsets, and chips from Broadcom, Realtek and Marvell. In addition to Remote IT, the SB700 will also support technologies including IMD (Intelligent Management Device) and TPM (Trusted Platform Module), added the sources.
