Could Windows 7 use touchscreen tech?

Microsoft revealed earlier this week that Windows Vista's successor – codenamed Windows 7 – is scheduled to be released in 2010. But what the company is not making clear is what new features the OS will have, a topic that has become fodder for educated speculation.

Vista was such a long-term project and came out 6 years after XP. Now theyre making a new OS to be ready only 3 years after Vista.

You'd think they'd work on Vista for awhile and make it as solid a system as XP. but then again, they probably just want you to spend more money.

XP sales were always high. Vista has sold 40 million copies since it was released. seems a decent amount. also if im using it to do all my design and web work while using it to help run a business it can't be that shabby. I prefer it to XP already especially with multiple cores and huge memory.

anyway as for touchscreen technology who the hell wants to be touching their monitor while using an OS at home? its fine for public displays and presentations for people or for banking etc.

I love Vista. :X It's so pretty. haha, just bought the new Dell 1520 Laptop with the 8600M GT -- omg, such an improvement over what I'm used to!!! lol

Only problem is, I'm re-learning how to use it as well as I knew how to use XP. That's probably the worst part... feels like I'm back to square one.

Wow imagine Apple giving touch screen to the public, to use in your everyday life. OH I see now microsoft will follow again in someones footsteps. Apple will beat them to the punch on this im sure.

yea and apple will make it a shabby crammed down version of their OS and call it " groundbreaking" and mark up the prices for 2x what its worth.... lame
