Toyota to test plug-in hybrid, rivaling GM

DETROIT--Toyota Motor said Tuesday that it was testing hybrid vehicles with rechargeable batteries in the United States and Japan, setting up a direct challenge with General Motors to develop the industry's first plug-in hybrids.

Plug in hybrids dont do anything to save our invironment. They make us use more electricity inturn which uses more coal that uses more diesel fuel to haul the coal. I burn an avg of 75 gal of fuel in 10 hours in all my trucks that haul coal and we use alot of our oil to haul coal. Now with the new diesel fuel the US government makes us buy will cause our engines to wear faster wich inturn will cause the manufactures to make a lot more parts that will have to be trucked to keep us going. We will use more fuel to haul the parts which waste our oil as well. Its just like us hauling bottle water, all the fuel and money it cost to haul the stuff that comes out of our faucet. We are not very smart, just money hungry.
