Apple posts record profit in 3Q, reports 270,000 iPhones sold

SAN JOSE, Calif.— Apple Inc.'s fiscal third-quarter profit soared more than 73 percent, fueled by demand for its Macintosh computers, the strength of its iPod media players and the sales of 270,000 iPhones in the first two days on the market.

Apple shares jumped more than 6 percent in extended-session trading Wednesday even as the company issued a conservative outlook that fell short of Wall Street's expectations.

Only 270 000 phones sold. Yeah Apple is serious threat to Nokia and others...

man Nokia sells more phones in a day than Apple has sold for now. But Nokia has bigger product portfolio than Apple has

yea but it doesnt cost you $79 plus for a new battery for anything else. when people
make it threw thier 500/1000 charges the "built in" battery needs factory replaced.
so evertally iphoners wil get egg on thier face
