Four-year project yields virtual beer
Source: TG Daily
________ Advances in computer physics are bringing stunning simulations following natural particle behavior onto the screen. One of the newest tricks achieved is virtual beer, which will be poured into a virtual graph during a demonstration at the upcoming Siggraph tradeshow and conference. |

That beer didn't look any realistic at all.
1) Noone pours beer into glass so fast 2) The foam that came up after pouring was unrealistic: the amount of foam should had been much higher because they poured beer in so fast 3) There were not enough bubbles coming up 4) Noone purs beer in glass so it would be wavy in glass( same as 1, wanted to mention again) 5) Why don't they just go to store, buy beer and pour it in glass themselves? Why did they have to work for years to accomplish that virtually?

its not only for things like this, these are just examples. they can use things like this in science to simulate experiments.

Yeah, I think the point is to simulate fluid dynamics, not beer.
