Problem is neither the GeForce 8600 GS or the GeForce 8700M hold a candle to the 7950GTX in terms of speed. Yeah they add DX10 support but the performance will be sub-7950 ...

yeah i have to agree the only upgrade is the memory and cpu. I can not stand the new desing. I love how my m1710 looks. it has converted me to laptops.
