Intel to push two new technologies with X38 chipset

______________ Intel is currently developing two new technologies which will be introduced along with the upcoming high-end X38 chipset, according to sources at motherboard makers. Both technologies target the enthusiast market. The two new technologies are named Extreme Memory and Extreme Tuning Utility. Both new marketing lead architectures will be introduced along with the X38 chipset in October this year, according to motherboard makers. |

I'll be interested to see if this pan's out, or if it is no more than a marketing blitz. Sounds interesting, but its yet to be seen the price of the "certified" memory is in line with the performance boost.

so long as Intel says this new chips is better than the older ones i believe them easily already and want to try it anyway, lol. it's just upto the money.

If everything goes according to plan I should be getting THIS board as soon as it comes out. If not that one then I'll probably be getting Intels own DX38BT board.
However, I'd probably still end up getting the Gigabyte board regardless. Why? Cuz Intel, again, has made an enthusiast board without PCIE1x slots. Suffice it to say, the end of September can't come fast enough.
