Make Vista Work for the Whole Family @ ExtremeTech

______________
When you have kids, controlling their use of the Internet—or of the computer itself—can be a daunting task. Windows XP's Internet controls are lacking at best, as are its account controls. Trying to set up several users with their own accounts, while using a single administrator account to control it all, can be a daunting task.

The Durham family PC provides a perfect example of this conundrum. We've tried a bunch of Internet content filters, and none of them worked as we'd hoped. One crashed incessantly and blocked all access for virtually anyone; another was browser-based and wouldn't work with Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.
