Sony Japan releases new firmware for DRU(X)-500A(U) drives

Sony Japan has released a new firmware update for their DRU-500A(X) and DRX-500UL(X) DVD-recorders. Unfortunately, since the new firmware is only available on the Japanese Sony website, the changelog is rather unclear (translated with Babel Fish):

DRU-500CA/500AX and DRX-500UL/500ULX firmware 2.0f
· Improvement of entry efficiency
· Improvement of reading efficiency
· The media whose quality is bad (the media which has mass eccentricity or the curvature) quiet sound characteristic improvement
· The music disk which is drawn up with this drive (the CD Audio format) playback compatibility improvement
