To Sony, the weak spot in Apple's iTunes fortress could be in video downloads.

Sony is preparing to launch a challenge to iTunes' video service, according to a story published Tuesday in the The Wall Street Journal. The Journal reported that Sony's effort would employ the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation Portable and Bravia high-definition televisions to offer some kind of download service.

Having it built into the tv is the only way I can see people taking up video download service. Of course it would not be hard to add this to the PS3.

I am not a big fan of video downloads for movies since the quality is not going to match HD on a disk yet at least at the moment it's not going to plus the sound is not going to be amazing...

The other fact that I don't like video downloading is because I like to have the disk with the case anything!

O well thats just my view I guess other people like this...
