iPhone "relock" promised, to prevent iPhone update problems
Source: Tech-Ex
_________ On Monday, Apple indicated that the next iPhone software update may render any unlocked phone inoperable -- they said possibly forever. Well, the iPhone Dev Team, developers of the AnySIM open source software unlocking program, said they will provide a "relock" program, as early as next week, which will return your iPhone to "locked" status, so that the next update will not break the phone. |

Sounds like a good reason to ignore this device altogether. It has also been criticized for poor data performance as it is only 2 1/2 G, when other data solutions are using 3G and 3 1/2G.
It carries on the Apple tradition, poor value and reliance on a fanatical brand name following. Only an iDiot would waste their money, even some tech shows suggest waiting for a version 2 with 3G support or better - actually, to be really good, a device like this would need to be dual 3G & WiFi - now that would get my attention, even if it was made by Hong Kong Phoeey.
