Panoram releases 3D desktop LCD
Source: TG Daily
__________ Sun Valley (CA) – 3D displays are a niche market and we have no reason believe that this will change anytime soon. But the segment produces interesting devices for industry and enthusiast applications – such as the Panoram PSP 2400, a stereoscopic 24” HD 3D LCD that can be yours for the price of about three regular 30” LCDs. |

It already has a competitor. The iZ3D came out recently. It's a bit smaller but it's 1/5 of that price. It looks like the iZ3D monitor is mainly targetting gamers and the Panoram PSP 2400 is mainly targetting the professional industry. Hardware solutions for 3D displays are improving in quality and decreasing in price. I believe that this type of monitor with passive glasses is much less annoying to use than using shutter glasses with a crt monitor and the picture quality is better. I wear my prescription glasses all the time when using the computer. I'm already wearing glasses at the computer so I don't mind wearing a second pair on top of them or wearing a clip-on on my glasses.
The website of the product is here : PSP 2400 Look at the bottom of the page to see the glasses available. |
