Publisher's Description:

Ubuntu is a Linux distribution that starts with the breadth of Debian and adds regular releases (every six months), a clear focus on the user and usability (it should "Just Work", TM) and a commitment to security updates with 18 months of support for every release. Ubuntu ships with the latest Gnome release as well as a selection of server and desktop software that makes for a comfortable desktop experience off a single installation CD.

I love these guys, btw. I mean, do you think Microsoft would give away Windows, AND even mail copies to your door for free of all their various versions in both 32bit and 64bit?

Didn't think so.

Well, Ubuntu has been steadily growing in market share since its initial release. And each version brings more reasons to step away from Windows (e.g. the ability to use OpenOffice or browse the net right from the LiveCD/DVD, now a default 3D desktop that kicks Aero's butt). But knowing the public, I have a feeling if market shares were reversed, people would have no trouble bashing at Ubuntu instead

I guess you have to try it. But it worked for me and I'm on ADSL too.

I actually tried that with Kubuntu 7.04 and I couldn't get it working even after a few hours of googling and trying things. Maybe because I'm not experienced Linux user, but they say that Ubuntu is "Linux for people"...
