Toyota Says Not All Future Hybrids to Get Lithium-Ion Batteries
Source: Bloomberg
_________ Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp., the largest seller of gasoline-electric vehicles, won't use its most- advanced batteries in every new hybrid because some models don't require the extra power. The automaker is working to perfect a durable lithium-ion battery with better performance than the current nickel-metal hydride standard, said Yoshitaka Asakura, general manager of Toyota's hybrid system engineering division. Still, the new, costlier technology won't appear in all vehicles. |

Does Toyota know about Ener1?
Toyota is going with Panasonic for there LI-ion batteries.. If they went to the American company, Ener1 Inc. (ENEI.OB) , the LI-ION battery could be half the cost and safer than any Li-ION hybrid battery on the market. Ener1 Inc. (ENEI.OB) This company has a LI-ION Hybrid battery completed, the testing is done. Get with it Toyota.
Welcome to Ener1 |
