I installed it last night with no problems. Haven't noticed any changes in games, same as usual.

No it's Vista only...but all the DX releases contain DX10 in them.

Actually, I read an article in the October issue of PC Format that states that nVidia have pressured Microsoft to drop Memory Virtualization from DX 10. If that's true, that about the only roadblock to keeping DX 10 from working under XP.

Soooo, all I really know is to 'stay tuned'.

XP and DX 10 will never happen. M$ wants your $ and needs you to buy Vista to get it. I've heard of projects saying they can software emulate it, but no real gamer would use it because of the performance hit. Vista isn't that bad once you get used to it, so pony up and get it if you want to play DX 10 Games in their full glory.

What's seems strange to me is that they released the redistibuable before releasing the november 2007 SDK. Normally, they should release the SDK first. If a game is not compiled with the november 2007 SDK, I don't see why you would need the november 2007 redistribuable (except if it fixes some bugs, maybe).
