Matrix sequel is web's most-wanted

The Matrix: Reloaded is the most hotly anticipated film of the summer movie season, according to the latest web-based poll.
In a survey of 4,200 internet users by film website Zap2it.com, over a thirdof respondents picked The Matrix: Reloaded as their choice for the must-see film of the summer season.

"It doesn't surprise me that The Matrix sequel will be the most anticipated movie of the summer," said the film's producer, Joel Silver, when he heard about the poll results.

"But I can guarantee you that more people will want to see the third parteven more later in the year, because of the way the second one ends."

The third part, Matrix: Revolutions is due for release in November.

In second place, with 21 per cent of the votes, was X2, the sequel to X-Men. And in third place was the swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean, starring Johnny Depp, with 14 per cent of the vote.
