Seoul, Korea – May 30, 2002: Samsung Electronics, the world’s leading memory solutions provider, announces a 32bit RIMM4200 module, an industry first high-speed RDRAM module. The new module has a 2-channel feature boasting record operating speeds of 4.2gigabytes per second (GBps). This is 4X faster than a conventional SDRAM module and 2X the performance of DDR SDRAM module
In addition, two RIMM4200 modules, in parallel, presented in a 64bit data bus system will generate speeds of 8.4GBps. Thus highlighting emphasizing the Rambus DRAM solution as a driving force in the high-performance memory market. http://www.samsungelectronics.com/se...64437_101.html oooooo I like 8.2GBps but lower the dang latency!!!!! er@32ns ram |
