Lets not forget the year 2007 was one hell of a gamer year, I'm still lagging behind on a lot of games, simply because I dont have the time. It's great and at the same time frustrating

One of the things I really think MS screwed up with in Vista, is the networking and I'm looking forward to final SP1, where filesharing and network center should be quicker and more bugfree.

Windows vista on a prebuilt = shit
windows vista on supported hardware = amazing.

resource hog is a bit over the top imo..... things are misinterpretted about vista..... so many people misunderstand that nature.... the completely different nature of the os all together...

a well...

Me, with a nasty crowbar.... beating horse some more apparently....

Not sure how the HD24/26xx series cards were so horrible? From my findings, i found them to be excellent little bastards.... the 2600xt for example for the price, was right in line with the performance of a single x1950pro (give or take depending on what was being done)

2400pro's were excellent budget suckers..... running minimum resolutions with ease.... Perfect vista cheap home premium running areo card.....

HD3870 is doing Excellently from what can see, the performance and price ratio is great.... I'm thoroughly glad i didn't get a 2900... imo the 2900 was a flop, the lower end cards were excellent.. and the hd38xx is right in the lead of the top ati card to get.

It's kinda different when you compare a nvidia card to a hd38xx card for performance to price ratio...

And yeah, amd dropped the ball on the CPU lineup...... several times... .still is.....

Nice one Peter,

Really liked your take on Vista versus the other OS's - on a newer machine it feels just right to me - and, it runs on the old girl too, makes her look pretty - reminds me of Win95 in 8Mb of ram on an (AMD) DX2 66Mhz. Gives that warm glowy nostalgic feeling, you know... .
