Intel Pentium 4 800 MHz FSB vs 533 MHz FSB Performance Comparison

GamePC have compared performance of almost entire line of the new Pentium 4's with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus CPUs and that includes:

Intel Pentium 4 3.0C GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 800 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 2.8C GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 800 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 2.6C GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 800 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 533 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 2.80 GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 533 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium 4 2.66 GHz - 8 kB L, 512 kB L2 Cache - 533 MHz FSB

Just over two weeks ago, Intel officially released the Pentium 4 3.0C on to the market, along with their new 875P (Canterwood) chipset. The 3.0C's major new feature was an 800 MHz front side bus speed, which combined with the 875P's dual channel DDR-400 interface and Performance Acceleration Technology (PAT) made the new Pentium 4 processors the top of the performance heap. As Intel's previous Pentium 4 3.06 GHz with a "lowly" 533 MHz front side bus speed was already holding the PC performance crown, it was already expected by most publications that an updated faster Pentium 4 processor would crush the competition.

Wake up there cowboy - we've moved into a new century. Intel still owns the performace crown. What does AMD have to compete with an 800Mhz FSB? aren't they JUST now breaking into the 400's? Granted AMD can process more per clock cycle - in brute processing stregnth - Intel is King.

Intel has it with its 3Ghz+ for awhile now, but things are heating up now and could very well change *and drive prices down more I hope*
