Western Digital announced that an exciting new model in their Scorpio series of 2.5" hard drives was being launched back in October 2007 (press release link). Not only was this new release taking 2.5" drives to a new high in capacity (320GB), it was also taking the impressive performance of previous Scorpio drives and adding SATA 3Gbps transfer rates.
