2007 and 2008 building standards are getting to be VERY expensive

my father with his own construction company has to spend $100+ on automatic switches and such.... overcharging the building budget aint fun.... especially when you need to spend $2000 on those alone....

depending on building codes, i havent read them in a while so i dont remember what is needed exactly... true we're in a whole resource crisis..... i have changed all lighting systems in the house to florescent and halogens where necessary..... waiting for certified HO LED lighting systems to be more common....

the whole gas thing is a little much, there are those who may not react well to cold and need the heat to be higher..... i'd love to see how much one of these babies adds to the cost of the buildings initial pricing.......
