A New Nintendo Game Boy ! @ Tomshardware

The Game Boy SP is the latest game console out of the Nintendo stable. It's basically the Game Boy Advance revamped with a more grown-up look and a few enhancements, the main one being a front-lit screen which addresses the weak spot of the dimly lit screen on the 32-bit handheld Game Boy Advance. Priced at aroun $130 (about the same as the GBA when it first came out), this new little console has completely won us over.

I was reading all of this yesterday. LOL. Game Boy SP is quite a marvel. Except for lack of pre-installed headphone jack.

They say it has a backlit screen. No it doesn't, its just a crappy (super reflective, throwing light right into your eyes) front lit screen. The only way to get the incredible image quality a backlit screen can provide is to buy an afterburner unit and install it in your regular gba. Or it your afraid of soldering you can have www.yourhappyplace.com install it for you. My backlit gba beats the pants off of the frontlit gba sp any day.
