With increased popularity among consumers comes increased popularity among malware writers, as they see more opportunity for $$$.

A "rogue application" or "rogue software" is one that "uses malware to advertise or install itself or to force computer users to pay for removal of nonexistent spyware."

F-Secure claims to have found the first such app for the Mac.

You never know, if Macs get even more popular then the malware (in general, trojans/spyware/adware ect, the whole lot) developers might all switch to Mac and leave windows alone :P
