We’ve received a combined card-reader and USB HUB from Sweex. Sweex delivers a wide range of multimedia products, and it is going to be interesting to see if they’ve succeeded in making a decent card-reader

Looks pretty much identical to the Tevion model sold in Aldi a little while ago, even down to the curve sweep on the case. I'm guessing the true origin is actually a Taiwanese no-name.

The Tevion model is supplied with a mains adapter, though power is not required unless running high power devices on the ports.

The HUB is single-TT, so any USB1 devices are aggregated to a single USB1-USB2 speed buffer stream.

The lower card slots (on the Tevion) are inverted, the picture of this shows cards not inverted, though that may just be for a picture
