Google's Street View "Off the Map" at U.S. Military Bases

There has been much made of Google Maps' Street View feature and privacy concerns. The public isn't alone in those concerns, as the Pentagon has forced Google to remove imagery of streets near military bases from Street View.

The Pentagon has also banned Google teams from entering military bases as well. Google did say it was against policy to request access to military bases for the purpose of capturing Street View images, and that the images in question were removed within 24 hours after the request was made.

I think its cool.

Its all public areas they take pics of, and really who cares? One more thing people just freak out about.

I saw my house on there and its not a privacy concern to me lol. I think its really cool and give it 5 stars!

well they do have a picture of my house......

and i can make out all the pathways and doors and my pond.....

and yea, i dont care if people look at my house, just dont go in it.

i betcha 100% that theres nothing even remotely available of the sort in my area... let alone the closest city lol

Go to google maps,

Upper right side of the map there are different views. Click street view.

If you zoom out while you have that selected you will see a bunch of what I think are blue lines and thats where you can do street view.
