Safari for Windows 3.1
Safari offers you a superior Web experience with outstanding performance. Even the most complex of pages load at breakneck speed. In fact, it loads pages more quickly than any other Mac Web browser. But that's not all. Safari uses the advanced interface technologies underlying Mac OS X to offer you an all-new view of the Web, one that's much easier to use.
Safari has the following other editions available: Safari for Mac OS X. ____________ Download: Fileforum |

Why would anyone want to use that?
Firefox is better. Also the new Beta Firefox is rocket fast now!

Im experimenting with it and so far I think its great. I have been using FF3 Beta for a while now but Safari is right on par with it speed wise although I like the feel of FF better I wouldn't go laughing at Safari just yet, Give respect where its due....!

Get off my lawn!

But why... ?
It's a waste of time, Apple should stick to improving Quicktime and iTunes (hint: release security patches a LOT faster) and not work on a browser, nobody will use, since Firefox and Opera will any day be better. |

For me, or anyone doing web development, this is essential if you don't have access to a Safari on the Mac. Whenever I'm working on a clients webpage I need to test it on multiple browsers (Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, Maxthon, Avant, . Having this on Windows means I don't need to rely on Mac guy to tell me the obvious, "It doesn't work" line.
BTW, Safari isn't too bad. In fact it's relatively fast, uses far less memory than Firefox (6 DH pages open = 140-150mb used, while in Safari that same number only uses 91mb), and usually only uses on average 0-5% CPU (Firefox uses 5-30%, while the average is usually 12%). Plus, it's KHTML based. |
