Mac security not so much about the Mac
SAN FRANCISCO--Politicians like to joke that Social Security reform is considered the "third rail" of politics. In Apple's world, that rail belongs to security.
It's been a while since we examined the "state of Mac security," and with this week's RSA Conference in San Francisco, and last month's CanSecWest conference fresh in everyone's mind, it seemed like a decent time. The topic is always a heated one, and it tends to bring out the usual Mac vs. PC bashing. But according to people I talked to this week here at RSA, the nature of security threats has moved well beyond the platform. __________ Source: News.com |

Fell off the tech wagon

Well that was nothing new lol.
Did not really think it ever had to do with Mac vs Windows on what one is more secure. The browsers are what kills it. And they say Fire Fox has a lot, but I still consider it in more of a beta way then an official one like EE. They said 99% of what I was always saying. Until the market share gets bigger Mac users will be safe. There will be a point down the road I figure that will make them equal to Windows in the amount of crap you can get. |
