UMG: Keep Your Promo CDs; Tossing Them is Piracy

Yes, you read that right. In a brief filed by Universal Music Group (UMG) in federal court yesterday, UMG said that giving away or even throwing out a promotional CD is piracy.

promotional is promotional..

if i give someone my pen.... with my logo on it...

and someone takes that pen...and then turns around and sells it some time later? I won't have a problem with that as it's thier to begin with..

course if i have some more here.. for promotionals yet... anyone that buys that pen is rather a sucker .....
