HP Elite Autofocus Webcam

The Elite is a premium webcam, but for $99 people are going to expect more than a few laser-cut buttons, a privacy cover, and a desktop stand. The Elite ended up doing a good job, but it could not beat out the Logitech and its Carl Zeiss lens at comparable resolutions. The upshot is that the HP can keep scaling up to the 3MP point and the image quality is relatively consistent. Yes, the frame rate will drop considerably, but you can get high resolution video if that's what you are looking for. Overall, it's a solid product, but not the best in the field, so don't buy on resolution alone unless you have need for 3MP video.
