Netflix to Charge Extra for Blu-ray Rentals

In Monday's post-earnings analyst / media conference call, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that Netflix users can expect a "modest monthly premium" if they want to rent Blu-ray Discs. Formerly the rental of high-definition discs was bundled into their normal fee.

Ha, thank god I'm no longer a customer. Soon they'll start charging for their streaming content.

Well I like Netflix, but paying extra for blu-ray sucks...

They just made the streaming unlimited and free!

I may just go back to Blockbuster again myself... all things being equal, it's nice to be able to exchange an envelope for an in-store rental.
