Antec Mini P180 mATX Case

If you have not heard of Antec before you must be living in a cave or somewhere remote. Antec is one of the major players in the case and power supply market. At one time or another many of us have used one of the cases. The Sonata line started all the good stuff and then came the Performance One series that includes the likes of the P180 which was very popular. Then there was the release of the Nine Hundred which was one the best air circulating cases on the market mostly due to the huge 200 mm fan on top.

While it's a beautiful case, I still can't understand the design choice for the inside.

Antec should have moved the optical drives down to mid case where the floppy holder used to be (where the lower hard drive bay is now), created a duct area above it to bring in air for where the video card, and left the 4 slot hard drive bay in the bottom. The way it is now defeats the purpose of the 2 chambers, cuz now you don't need to isolate the 2 of them anymore as you lose the chambers ability to cool the hard drives down. Plus you still have the issue of that exact same horizontal hard drive bay bumping up against or being in the way of longer video cards, so just as with the P180/P182 you are almost better off removing that bay entirely.

Again, beautiful case, but I guess it's going to take another revisal like it took by putting out the P182 before Antec fixes the gripes with the original mini.
