Digital photo frame makers facing competition for panels from mini notebook makers
In light of estimated global demand for 20 million digital photo frames in 2008, leading Taiwan-based makers have been competing for OEM orders from international vendors, while having to compete with makers of mini notebook PCs for supply of TFT-LCD panels in the 7- and 8.9-inch segments at the same time, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
