To Boost DVD Sales, Warner Hopes You "Watch the Watchmen" Spin-Off
Watchmen is arguably one of the greatest comic book mini-series ever written. Next March, Warner Bros. hopes to answer the question "Who watches the Watchmen" with millions of dollars worth of ticket sales. At the same time, Warner Bros. hopes to boost flagging DVD sales with a unique new idea.

Very cool. I love the Watchmen, and have been eagerly waiting for this movie to come out. However, I have a huge issue with Warner Bros. motives.
"According to Adams Media Research, in 2007 domestic DVD sales fell 3.2%, the first annual drop in the medium’s history. Blame has been laid on the shoulders of both piracy as well as streaming video." This is absolute bull$4!7. Did it ever occur to these people that the reason behind 2007's DVD sales slump is not piracy or streaming video, but the Blu Ray vs HD-DVD war? I mean, why the hell would people by DVDs if you push Blu Ray, or push HD-DVD? They are going to buy a movie for THAT format, whatever it might be, and not DVDs.
