Sprint says 5 GB per month should be enough for most

After last week's news that Sprint confirmed its plans to implement a 5 GB per month overall use cap for its mobile broadband service, the company has seen a flurry of negative comments, and last weekend attempted a clarification.

Me too mate, but I'm never far enough away from a broadband connection to need 5Gb on my mobile!

And at the ridiculous rate O2 charge for data I'd be better paying for wireless hotspot access cos my N95 has WiFi in an emergency.

Um you folks not in the US have to understand they're talking about wireless broadband (EVDO) used on computers. In some areas this is all some people can get so limiting it will piss quite a few folks off. I can't believe they're not simply not charging them more.
