Corsair Dominator DDR2-1142 (PC2-9136) 4GB Kit

In modern terms, 2 GB of memory are often considered as a minimum memory size (not optimal) for a generic computer. In their turn, appetites of Windows Vista and modern games stimulate the most active part of users to choose among 4GB memory kits. Corsair web site publishes an interesting performance analysis of 2GB and 4GB kits, which proves that this memory size won't be idle in a number of games already these days. Even if you feel sceptical about corporate tests, you still cannot deny that the tendency to require increasing memory capacities exists. Unused data can be stored in virtual memory, on a hard drive, of course. But multitasking loses much of its appeal, if switching between applications takes some time to swap data.
