Canadian technophiles who have been anxiously waiting for what was last year's most anticipated gadget south of the border are understandably up in arms.

Their reward for being forced to sit on the sidelines while more than a million Americans were able to buy Time magazine's invention of the year for 2007 -- the Apple iPhone -- is a just-for-Canada price that is much higher than American phone companies are offering.

I'd take my Nokia 5300 XpressMusic over a crappy iphone anyday.
And even the article title just makes me LOL.
Sony got a load of crap because they had to release the PS3 at $599 which is very expensive i'll admit that, but the total cost of an iphone after a year's AT&T plan is like $700 or somethingl ike that and apple got away with it, in fact they had people practically blowing them off when they released the iphone

and wtf is with all this "Revolutionary" crap? It's got a multi-touch screen? So f*cking what, PDAs have been using that for years. It's got an ipod built in? SO WHAT?!?!?! I've got a music phone and an MP3 player, what? Apple only just realised they could include music functionality into a PHONE?!?!? Sweet jesus -_-'

I don't think PDAs have multi touch screens. In fact, that is the only thing that the iphone had over other phones.

Even if the iphone had all the features that makes proper phones, I am not sure I would feel comfortable using it outside. Too much of a magnet for criminals.
