Windows for Workgroups 3.11 to Finally Disappear
Talk about cannibalizing sales from Windows Vista. It's bad enough Microsoft has to worry about XP doing that, but ...

R.I.P WFW 3.11
 Probably the best ever (for it's time) version of Windows. A true PITA to install hardware and drivers on it, but once installed, it was like the energizer bunny...it just kept going, and going, and going. One system I had it on went for over 6 months, 24/7 without re-booting! I'd hate to try that with any of th later versions of Windows.

Oh gawd!
I remember when 3.0's UAE (Unrecoverable application error) was upgraded to 3.1's GPF (General protection fault). 386sx, 2MB RAM and a 40MB hard drive, and do today's behemoths boot any faster - NO
