Vista Compatibility Center Finally Compatible with the Internet
As Microsoft continues to have to "prove" to people that Vista is compatible with their hardware and software, the Windows Vista Compatibility Center launched on Tuesday, as announced at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston.
Of course, it proved incompatible with the Web, as visiting the site got you a "The Windows Vista Compatibility Center will be launching soon, please check back!" message. ________________ Source: Tech-Ex |

Heh it lists Titan Quest as not compatible with Vista 32 or 64... Uhm yeah right... Last time I checked (Yesterday) it plays just fine. Don't know where they got that information.

I really don't understand people's pigheadedness when it comes to Vista. It almost seems like some sort of "rite of passage" for some folks to do nothing but disparage Vista, as if that somehow demonstrates that they are wise and knowledgeable. I've been using it since March of '07 and have found it to be extremely compatible--I deleted my XP boot partitions at home long ago.
I think the author of this little piece of criticism has got the story backwards: if Vista was so incompatible that few people were installing it then Microsoft would have rushed to put up a compatibility web site. The fact that there was no rush at all about doing that indicates that there's really been very little need for such a site, and the sales figures that Microsoft has released about Vista sales back this up completely. My own experience with Vista on my machines at home backs it up, too. I never once have needed to access a compatibility site for Vista since installing it on multiple machines. There's much more under the hood about Vista than merely DX10 that makes it drastically different from XP. In fact, you can always spot a n00b in the wild when you hear him say, "The only difference between XP and Vista is DX10." It's guaranteed...

Iria isnt this your account at tech ex - you are Michael Santos right? meaning it seems like you are using DriverHeaven to drive content to your own blog? If so I wonder if the guys in charge at DH would like it. I am 100% sure I read your blog earlier this year and you had driverheaven in the links along with hothardware and realtechnews. I see DriverHeaven has been removed now, but im certain thats you. If so, why not just originate your writing on DriverHeaven so we know its you and can flame accordingly for the quality of the writing !
