Lenovo Announces the ThinkPad X301. They Can Built It --- Better, Stronger, Faster.

The Lenovo Thinkpad X300 is cool, but now it's been surpassed. Lenovo has announced a better, stronger, faster laptop, the X301 (go figure). The X301 ups the ante with, according to Lenovo, on average nearly 20% better performance over the X300 by adding DDR3 RAM and "the latest Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low volt processor."

Probably when they decide to get into the mainstream market. Lenovo's main business is.. well.. the business market. That market either needs basic graphics, low end graphics, or Quadro graphics. That's why you see onboard Intel/AMD graphics, low end AMD/Nvidia (like the X1250/X1300 from AMD or 7300/9300 from Nvidia), or Quadro based systems. The only reason people outside of that market buy Lenovo laptops is because of their experience with Lenovo (previously IBM) computers and laptops at work, or from word of mouth by people that have them. And just as with the business market these people are looking for a reliable laptop that they can work on, not game on.

Anyways, at the moment that is where Lenovo is putting their business into. I'm sure that eventually they will try to get into the mainstream market, they just don't see the need to right now.
