Data on 84,000 U.K. prisoners is lost

Unencrypted data on all 84,000 prisoners in England and Wales has gone missing after a Home Office contractor lost a USB stick on which it had been stored.

It's certainly time the UK Gov invested some serious cash into the security of the British publics personal details..

Seeing as the UK Gov also want to introduce Identity cards that contain a persons profile in many ways,These articles of Lost Details seem to be happening way to often recently.

For me this just shows we have officials who look after these details are so poor and this should not be happening.

just how much trust can be shown...At this time very little..Just another reason added to the list for the current Gov to loose power.

(This hit the UK news Last Thursday)

Yah know, it would be ironic if any of the info lost was for someone in prison for ID Theft.
