Due to the 2008 Q2,the brand new next generation processor “Nehalem” (Even the official names call “i7” , but people used to call “X58”)has going to show up, and the spec was no longer like mystery ! code name ”Bloomfield” basically are Quad core processor, 45nm and using new socket level up to LGA 1366, but most important change is Intel Quick Path Interconnect (short name: QPI) to X58 chipset, it’s Triple channel DDR3 and directly control by CPU, not Northbridge anymore, also this is first time we can saw this technology in the Intel platform. So the memory socket has 6 dimms, bandwidth performance has over 1 times than dual channel memory, and PCI-Express slot up to 2.0 version and support multiple graphics configurations from dual to quad graphic cards
