Will netbook growth hurt Apple’s Macbook sales?
For a company like Apple, the colorful new iPod Nanos might be the hot product this quarter but laptop computers remain the financial bread and butter. Now, there’s concern that there’s trouble ahead for the notebook market.

I was under the impression that the major part of Apple's profit actually came from it's iPod business, though the increased sales of computers they've been enjoying since the switch to Intel CPUs bring more and more money.
EDIT: OT: I don't think so, the target audience is completely different. Compare a netbook with a good battery and MacBook Air: they have the same mass and a comparable battery life, only Air is much more powerful, has a bigger screen and keyboard and costs about 4 times as much. They are obviously targeted at different people. Netbooks probably impact the sales of the cheapest laptops the most. For a slightly smaller price, a good netbook with high capacity battery comes with half the mass and twice the battery life - it's great for undemanding users who want portability and don't want to spend much. On the other hand, people who are otherwise interested in $1000+ laptops are not likely to be satisfied with what netbooks offer.
