When I was writing this review, the Large Hadron Collider was to go live in a matter of hours. All around the world people were engaging in passionate lovemaking, consumption of copious amounts of booze, and downloading Photoshops of Sarah Palin. Me? I was writing tech reviews. My mind was preoccupied with the sad desperation of our impending doom and I was working myself into exhaustion in an attempt to fully experience the subject of this review before the Swiss and the French created miniature black holes that destroyed the planet. Fortunately I, along with the rest of the world, woke up to a completely in-tact universe. That is until about a month and from now when the REALLY risky tests will be performed by a crew of scientists that don't know what will happen to the machine they can't keep running without catastrophic hardware failures.
