Colin McRae Rally 3 Demo

Codemasters have now released the playable demo for Colin McRae Rally 3, allowing you to take this imminent rally racing simulation for a spin. This demo contains three tracks set in the UK, Japan and Sweden, and predicably, only the Ford Focus RS WRC to drive them with.

I hope it's better than Microsoft Rally. I didn't care for that... I dunno why.

Don't even bother with it- I just downloaded it- It looks like they made the game just to put some nice graphics on a box to sell it- The graphics ARE really nice- the game-play is geared towards 6 year olds- NOT a sim at all, not even a half way good arcade racer either. It's like you are driving one wheel of a car- the whole car acts as one pivot point and rotates on it's center- (like one wheel would)- Wow, I am amazed how bad it is. I have played atari 2600 games that have better physics!!! Then the steering wheel doesn't even go where you point it- even in analog mode it "sticks" to one direction and slowly starts turning back long after you press the other direction on the anolog stick of your gamepad. I didn't even bother w/ my wheel. I am dissapointed. I think CMR2 was better (and that was kinda the same one axis physics deal)

Just one person's opinion- not meant to be a flame- But THIS one person hates it. Akkk!! When is there going to be a driving simulator/ game worth playing? Let alone BUYING?? Try for yourself and see- who knows, maybe someone will like it.

Heh... I was beggining to think my joypad was messed up. I have the same problem with my Logitech WingMan. A lot of the time when I turn left, or right, it is very hard to get the car to go the opposite direction afterwards, like when I need to make a turn. It dosen't happen always, but it does seem to happen often.

They REALLY need to fix the support for gaming devices. I don't know if they will, since the message in the demo says, "game is 95% complete", so there is a chance they won't fix this... at least not for launch.
