The word ultraportable has been put into our vocabulary the past few years with every major laptop manufacturer coming out with a laptop deemed "ultraportable". Apple really took the ultraportable realm to the next level with the Macbook Air, the thinnest notebook ever created and at only 3 pounds it definitely impressed many people. Lenovo wanted to give business users a ThinkPad that was also thin and light. They came up with the X300, a 13.3-inch notebook that is less than an inch thick and weighs around 3lbs.
