Cooler Master V8 Giant CPU Cooler Review

Cooler Master, as a company, really needs no introduction. They've been a part of the PC aftermarket virtually from the start. Their products often feature bold styling elements to go along with excellent performance. Cooler Master's newest foray into the CPU cooling field is no exception. Simply called the V8, it is reportedly the first of three maximum effort coolers aimed at taming high TDP processors. Let's have a look under the hood, kick the tires and put the V8 through its paces. I think you'll like what you see.

Re: Cooler Master V8 Giant CPU Cooler Review

Wow, that thing looks absolutely massive.
Although it doesn't look feasible with as many heatpipes as the V8, I wonder why all companies do not utilize exposed heatpipes (AKA "heatpipe direct touch")?

Here's another review of the V8 from FrostyTech.

Re: Cooler Master V8 Giant CPU Cooler Review

It's tricky to do it right for some reason, I've seen a few coolers with such design that didn't perform as well as similar "regular" coolers.
